What Are the Driving License and Car Rental Requirements?

General Rental Requirements

To rent a car, drivers must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driving license for at least 1 year. For some premium or luxury vehicle classes, the minimum age can rise to 25 and the license requirement to 3 years - we recommend checking the rental conditions on the vehicle's detail page during booking.

• A valid driving license
• ID card or passport
• A credit card (for the deposit hold)

For Foreign Drivers

Foreign drivers visiting Turkey can rent a car using the license from their home country; for licenses printed in a non-Latin alphabet, we recommend carrying an International Driving Permit as well.

How Does the Deposit Work?

A hold is placed on your credit card at pick-up, with the amount varying by vehicle class. This is not a charge - the hold is released automatically once you return the vehicle undamaged and complete.
